Volunteer

LHS & Museum volunteers are vital to our operations.

Volunteers serve as museum guides, for individual visitors and tour groups.  Volunteers operate the shop. They plan and create exhibits, and speak to community groups.

Volunteers are developing new content on Laurel history for the website,

Our expanding children’s program offers opportunities for parents with children, or for those who particularly like working with young people

Help is also needed to catalogue items, for fundraising, newsletters and other projects.

Volunteers receive training, and we work to accommodate individual schedules.

The Society honors Volunteers with a yearly reception..
