Laurel Historical Society members decorated and rode in the the July 4 Parade (held July 5, 2008.) They also passed out information on the Laurel Museum's current exhibit.

The LHS float recognized LHS Co-Founders Betty Compton and Jane Cole, and LHS Volunteers, including Dick Compton. Betty Compton received bouquets of flowers from two of the LHS' younger members.
